RESEARCH INTERESTS

  • Ecosystem and climate interaction , especially energy, water, carbon and nitrogen exchange among soil, vegetation, and atmosphere
  • Biogeochemical cycles in terrestrial ecosystems and their responses/feedbacks to global climate change, particularly the temperature sensitivity of ecosystem respiration
  • Historical climate change and its impacts on environment and ecosystems
  • Applying remote sensing and GIS techniques in coupled climate-ecosystem modeling.
  • Environmental instrumentation development, especially for field measurements.
