Map
Colors:
The maps on this website were created using
the Gastrich and Wazniak (2002) categories
for brown tide blooms. The colors of the maps were broken
down into blue, yellow, and red to highlight the spatial
coverage of different bloom types. The colors on the maps
were created by interpolating the point data to create
a complete surface of brown tide cells ml-1.
These maps are a best estimate of what bloom conditions
are throughout the bay and should not be considered to
exactly replicate bloom conditions. For information on
what bloom conditions are at the monitoring stations click
on the data for xx-xx-xx on the mapping page. |
