NJ Landscape Change Research

The following CRSSA LCP sites focusing on NJ statewide change are currently available:

Changing Landscapes in the Garden State: Land Use Change in New Jersey, 1986-2015 [report, urban growth animation]

This report is part of an ongonig series of collaborative studies between Rutgers and Rowan Universities (Lathrop & Hasse) examing NJ's urban growth and land use change.


Natural Land Cover Change Animation of New Jersey: 1600 to 2050

What was the extent of New Jersey's forests and wetlands in 1600? What will it be in 2050? CRSSA researchers posed these questions and responded by producing a timeline of natural land cover change maps and a visualization of these results.
